Fr Craig Dunford
Parish Priest
Hi everyone,
I was appointed Parish Priest of St Luke’s in 2017 and was privileged to be a part of the design and building of the beautiful church we are now enjoying. Prior to coming to St Luke’s, I was Parish Priest of St Mary’s in Northcote for over 13 years, and Assistant Priest at St Patrick’s cathedral for over 3 years after my ordination in 2002. I was also 1 of the Police Chaplains for the Auckland District for 7yrs. The parish I grew up in was Holy Cross in Henderson where I attended the local catholic primary school before going on to Liston college. I am one of four, all my family live in Auckland and I am the proud uncle of 6 nieces and nephews. I enjoy cooking and gardening when I get time.

Assistant Priest
Kia ora! Mabuhay!
I was ordained a priest at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 2011. I was then assigned to St. Mary’s Northcote with Fr. Craig for 2 years & I am happy to be back serving with him. He has been my mentor and friend. I served at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for 4 yrs with Msgr. Bernard Kiely. I assisted at St. Mary’s College as school chaplain. I moved onto St. Francis de Sales & All Souls Parish in Devonport as Parish Priest for 2 yrs. While in Devonport, I became the Catholic Chaplain for the Royal Navy of NZ, and also school chaplain for Carmel College. My most recent assignment was in the Far North at St. Joseph Kaitaia. Here I served as parish priest for 4 yrs. I have since gained the confidence to do Miha Maori. I was born in the Philipinnes but am now a NZ Citizen. My family are all located in the Philipinnes. My mum is now retired, my bother is a dentist and we are blessed with his wife giving birth to my first nephew. All of them are in the Philippines.
I look forward to serve and be part of this vibrant ethnic community!
Celia Hunkin
Parish Administrator
Talofa Lava!
My name is Celia and I am of Samoan descent, a kiwi born and raised in South Auckland. I have a son who attends Sancta Maria Catholic Primary School and my family of 3 (hubby, son & I) are devoted parishioners of our St Lukes, Flatbush Community.
In 2021, I decided to take the plunge and take a step back from full time work in seek for a more family life / work balance where I would use my passion for admin coordination to help serve our parish whilst providing more flexibility for my young family. I have a caring nature for people and combined with my flair as an admin all-rounder, I really enjoy working in the Parish Office.
As the Parish Administrator, I have found a true sense of belonging here at St Lukes and I extend an invite to you all to join and grow your faith belonging too. May God continue to Bless us all.
Lima Moefana
Parish Assistant
Talofa everyone!
My name is Lima, I am married and am a proud mother and aunty. I am the eldest of three, born in Samoa, raised in South Auckland. I am blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to be able to transfer my administration skills and experience from past roles to a position that assists the parish and parishioners while allowing me the flexibility and freedom to be with my family and including them in my journey here at St Luke's.
I am a family orientated person who enjoys traveling and cooking. I also love to chat, meeting people and so with Jesus in the centre, I look forward to the experience this opportunity will fill my life. Come say Hi and remember we’re always here to help. God bless.

Pastoral Coordinator
Mabuhay!
I am happy to be a member of this vibrant community as a Pastoral Coordinator. One of five siblings, I originally hail from the Philippines. My passion is music and photography. I believe that being involved in the parish is an excellent way to get to know the people and learn about the diverse cultures that make up our Church.
I am eager to share my gifts and get to know St Luke's family and friends. So please, if I have not done it first, say hello when you see me.
